Privacy Policy
Parker Data Link LLC ("Parker Data Link", "we", "us") runs the Classic Horror Movies website and the Horror Movies Free: Classics Android app. This page explains what information is and is not collected when you use them.
The short version
- You do not need an account. We do not ask for your name, email, or payment details.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Ads are shown by Google (AdMob in the Android app, AdSense on the website) and by our own promotional videos.
- Your viewing is not tied to you. We count movie starts only in total.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera, or precise location. We do not ask you to sign in.
Ads from Google
Android app: The app shows ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure these ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address (which indicates approximate location), device information, and how you interact with ads and the app. We receive only summary ad reports from Google. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your Android device settings.
Website: The website may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info/choices.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and similar regions, Google may ask for your consent before showing personalized ads. For more, see how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Our own promotional videos
Before some movies, we may play a short video promoting other Parker Data Link apps. These are our own ads, hosted by us. They do not collect personal information about you.
Movie play counts
When a movie starts, the app and site send one small message to our own counter that includes only the movie ID, the movie title, and the platform (for example, web or Android). Nothing about you is sent. We use the totals to see which films people enjoy.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records basic technical information when a page or file is requested, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the date and time. We use it to keep the service running, fix errors, and understand overall traffic. It is not used to build a profile of you.
Where the movies come from
Movies and artwork load from our own servers and from public archives such as the Internet Archive. When your device loads a movie from one of these hosts, that host can see your IP address, as with any web request. Please see their own privacy policies for details.
Films that play from Vimeo
Some Creative Commons films play through Vimeo's official video player. When you press play on one of these films, Vimeo loads in a frame on our page, and Vimeo can see your IP address and device information, as with any web video. We ask the player not to track you (the "do not track" setting). Vimeo's own privacy policy applies to its player: vimeo.com/privacy. Each of these films shows its creator and license.
Information stored on your device
The app and site may store small settings on your device, such as whether you have already seen an intro. This stays on your device.
Children
This app is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Many of the films are horror films meant for adults and teens. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct or delete it. You can opt out of personalized ads as described above. To make a request, email us at the address below.

We may update this page. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
